4. How Data Is Handled
4.1 All Processing Is Local
Every analysis performed by this extension — tracker detection, cookie inspection, header analysis, browser API monitoring — runs entirely within your Firefox browser on your device. No data is sent to any server, cloud service, or third party at any point.
4.2 In-Memory Only
Data collected during a page analysis is held in a temporary in-memory object (
tabData) within the extension's background script. This data:- Is cleared automatically when you close the tab
- Is cleared automatically when you navigate away from the page
- Is never written to disk or to
browser.storage- Is never accessible to any website or external service
4.3 Popup Display Only
All analysis results — Privacy Score, tracker list, cookie findings, header checks — are displayed only within the extension popup which you open by clicking the extension icon. When you close the popup, the displayed data is discarded from the UI.
4.4 No Remote Connections
This extension makes zero network requests of its own. It does not contact any server. The tracker domain list (
libs/trackers.json) and scoring configuration are static files bundled inside the extension package itself. They are never fetched from any remote URL.5. Permissions Used and Why
This extension requests the following Firefox permissions:
| Permission | Purpose |

<all_urls> (host permission) | Required for webRequest, cookies, and content script injection to work on any website you choose to visit |No permission is used for any purpose beyond what is described above.

This extension does not use any third-party services, APIs, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or data brokers.
The tracker domain list bundled within the extension (
