TimeDial is built to run entirely on your device. This is the complete list of what it asks for, why, and what happens with it.

Location, for the weather widget
If you add the weather widget, TimeDial asks your browser for your approximate location so it can show current conditions where you are. This request is optional: if you decline it, or your browser blocks it, you can instead type any city name into Settings, and the widget will use that city.
When location is used, your coordinates are sent directly from your browser to two outside services, and TimeDial's developer never receives or stores them:
Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com) — to look up the current weather for those coordinates.
OpenStreetMap Nominatim (nominatim.openstreetmap.org) — only to turn the coordinates into a readable city name for display.
Neither request is logged by TimeDial or used for tracking, analytics, or any purpose beyond showing the current weather.
Notifications, for the Pomodoro timer
If you open the Pomodoro widget, your browser will separately ask permission to show notifications. If you allow it, TimeDial sends a notification only at the boundary between periods — once when a work session ends, once when a break ends — so you know when to switch. No notification is sent for any other reason, and the permission is only ever requested for this feature.
Everything else stays on your device
Your time blocks, notes, to-do items, pinned shortcuts, and appearance settings (theme, colors, fonts, wallpaper) are stored locally in your browser's own storage. None of it is transmitted to TimeDial's developer or to any third party. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server operated by TimeDial that your data passes through.
Your choices
Location: decline the browser prompt at any time, or set a manual city in Settings instead. Notifications: decline the prompt, or revoke it later from your browser's own site/extension permission settings. Local data: export, import, or reset it at any time from Settings.
