ARCHATE EXTENSION PRIVACY POLICY

WHAT DATA WE COLLECT

Archate is designed to minimize data collection. We only collect what's needed to make the extension work.

1. Authentication token
   When you sign in at archate.com, a bearer token is stored locally in your browser (chrome.storage.sync) and sent to our backend with each request to authenticate you. This token does not contain your password or personal information.
2. Prompt content
   The text and images you submit to build prompts are sent to our backend at https://bobbuilder-api.vercel.app for processing. We use this only to generate the requested prompt and return it to you. We do not store your prompts or images permanently unless you save them to your history (a feature you control).
3. Optional usage analytics
   With your consent (opt-in), we collect anonymous technical and interaction data such as which tools are used, error reports, and extension version. This helps us improve the product. You can turn this off any time in Firefox's add-on settings.

WHAT WE DO NOT COLLECT

• Browsing history
• Passwords
• Page content from sites other than the AI chat tools you actively use the extension on
• Personal identifying information beyond what you provide at sign-up (email)
• Location data
• Financial information

THIRD PARTIES

The extension communicates with:
- archate.com (our website) for authentication
- bobbuilder-api.vercel.app (our backend) for prompt generation
- Google Gemini API (via our backend) for AI prompt processing
- Convertio API (via our backend) for optional image-to-CAD conversion

We do not sell or share your data with advertisers or third parties for marketing purposes.

DATA RETENTION

Authentication tokens are stored on your device until you sign out or uninstall the extension. Prompts saved to your history are retained until you delete them or close your account.

YOUR RIGHTS

You can:
- Delete your saved history at any time from the extension popup
- Delete your account at archate.com (this removes all associated data)
- Disable optional analytics in Firefox's add-on permission settings
- Uninstall the extension to immediately stop all data collection
