BetterPortal is a fast, keyboard-driven bookmark and history overlay for Azure Portal — so your most-used resources are always one shortcut away.

Press Ctrl+Space (cmd+Space on mac) anywhere in the Azure Portal to instantly open your bookmarks and recent history, grouped by directory.

🔖 Bookmark Azure resources instantly
Permanently bookmark any resource page and blade— VMs, App Services, Storage Accounts, Key Vaults, databases — with a single keypress. Add custom aliases so resources are easy to recognize at a glance.

📜 Automatic history tracking
Every Azure resource you visit is remembered automatically. Jump back to anything you've opened recently without hunting through the portal's own navigation.

🏢 Multi-tenant & cross-directory navigation
Work across multiple Azure Active Directory tenants? BetterPortal groups resources by directory and handles cross-tenant navigation correctly — injecting the right tenant GUID so you always land in the right directory.

Filter across all bookmarks and history by name, resource type, or subscription — instantly, across all your tenants.

📋 One-click copy
Hover any resource to copy its full navigation URL (ready to paste into a ticket or doc), or copy a directory's tenant GUID directly from the group header.

🎹 Keyboard-first workflow
Navigate entirely without a mouse:
- Ctrl+Space — open/close overlay
- ↑ ↓ or j k — navigate items
- Enter — open resource
- / — search
- a — bookmark current page
- d — delete
- e — rename bookmark
- ? — settings

🔒 Privacy
All data stays in your browser. BetterPortal does not transmit any information to external servers. Bookmarks and history are stored locally using Chrome's built-in extension storage. No account required. (Do remember to back these up if transferring devices!)



New in V1.0.97:
- Bookmark and Directory DisplayName renaming (hotkey: e)
- Current directory appears at the top of the list
- Copy links for URL and directory GUID
- Cascading tenantID fixes and retroactive fill of tenantID
