CA3 saves web pages and explicitly selected page content into your CA3 workspace as Markdown notes.
Page mode extracts the readable article body, shows a preview, adds source metadata, converts the content to Markdown, compresses selected page images in the browser, and creates a CA3 note.
Compose mode lets you combine selected text, region screenshots, and your own annotations into one ordered note. Screenshot mode saves the current viewport and queues OCR when available.
Key features:
- Preview readable page content before saving.
- Save the page title, source URL, site name, clipping time, and Markdown body.
- Attach browser-compressed page images when available.
- Combine selected text, region screenshots, and annotations in Compose mode.
- Open the saved note in CA3 after clipping.
- Optionally close the source tab after saving.
- Optionally open ChatGPT and copy a prompt about the saved note for manual pasting.
- Sign in with CA3 OAuth using scoped access.
CA3 does not continuously monitor browsing. It reads or captures the active page only after the user explicitly starts a clipping action.

The production add-on contains no remotely hosted executable code. A complete source package with a frozen pnpm lockfile is supplied for reviewer reproduction. Mozilla's linter may report four UNSAFE_VAR_ASSIGNMENT warnings from the bundled upstream @mozilla/readability parser. CA3-owned extension code does not use dynamic innerHTML.
