The extension does have that functionality (assuming I'm understanding it right). It SHOULD run when using any of the 3 simple profiles, otherwise it's in Advanced > Video Section > Prevent Homepage Stream from Auto-Playing. If it doesn't work, let me know!
It is easy to miss though to be fair, I plan to update the overall UX down the track.

- Exactly what i was looking for when Twitch decided to update its UI again and add categories to the side bar for some god awful idea. Would like to see the ability to completely remove the "Stories" symbol though, otherwise its perfect
Edit: I have noticed this extentsion forces the left side "following" side bar to be open instead of minimized every time a new tab is opened or refreshed on the site, if that could be fixed it'd be much appreciated!開発者の返信

Edit: If you're referring to removing "Stories" in the left sidebar, it should be in there already under "Minimalist" mode, or "Hide Stories" in Advanced mode.
