Custom New Tab replaces your new tab page with any web page you choose — shown full-screen — while keeping the search bar empty and already focused the moment the tab opens. No leftover text to select or delete: open a tab and start typing your search right away.

WHY IT'S DIFFERENT
Most "custom new tab" setups load a website directly, which fills the address bar with that page's URL. So every time you want to search, you first have to select and delete it. Custom New Tab avoids this completely: your page is displayed inside the new tab, but the address bar stays empty and ready — exactly like a fresh tab.

HOW TO USE
1. Click "Open settings" on your first new tab (or open the extension's Preferences).
2. Enter the address of the page you want (https:// recommended).
3. Open a new tab — your page appears and the search bar is empty and focused.
Change the page anytime with the small gear button in the top-right corner of the new tab.

PRIVACY
- No data collection, no tracking, no analytics.
- The only thing stored is your chosen URL, kept locally on your device.
- Minimal permissions: storage only — no access to your browsing history, your tabs, or the sites you visit.

GOOD TO KNOW
- Prefer an https:// page; some http:// pages are blocked by the browser inside a secure frame (a direct link is offered if that happens).
- If a page can't be shown (for example an untrusted certificate), a fallback screen gives you a direct link to open it.
