No way to revert and in the new version not all features are available.
From best to worst in a single update. - 5 段階中 1 の評価noisegate95 によるレビュー (8年前)With no warning, all my proxies are deleted - with one simple behind the scenes and silent update. Now I have to go find my backup, grab the xml, restore the older version, and restore the file. Just what I feel like doing on a Monday morning, at work.
No way to import as the button does nothing.
Working with Firefox, and all its extensions, if just getting too damn difficult anymore.
- 5 段階中 1 の評価Firefox ユーザー 13272183 によるレビュー (8年前)Not work with squid based proxy, I had to goback to the 4.6 version
- It was quite ok for the purpose I used it for, although not so comfortable to configure with its user interface, but now getting worse.
I am still using it as I don't want to look for an alternative due to time issues, but probably not so long anymore.
It really got worse with the version 5.
I rolled back to version 4.6.5 manually and deactivated the auto-update for this addon.
I lost all my settings due to the auto-update to version 5, which they also mention in the desciption of the new version - below - with saying sorry, but a sorry does not help.
The import function should work and should exactly solve the supposed "Firefox limitations" but it doesn't do..
Although the old design wasn't really good either, the new design is just a nightmare.
Besides that the new version displays my proxy password in cleartext on the screen - no way! - I have changed my review from a 1 to 3 (for this version, 4.5.6 gets a 5/5) after working with v5 on my dev machine. I'm not keen on the new user interface and it dropping all my old proxies/rules (really need a working import) but now I have battled the new interface I can get all my proxies working as before (I have a mix of Bluecoat SG, SOCKS 5, putty SSH tunnels and Squids)
I think the issue is that Eric felt rushed release a non-lecacy version and maybe should have released this once a working import was functional and a few more of the older functions where working ie colour change icon on proxy use, more adult looking UI, same RHC function on the icon(I use this a lot).
For now I need to keep 4.6.5 on my main workstation but will move to 5 if the older function can be brought over.
@Eric - thanks for the time and effort you must put into this addon, I know it can't be easy.
OLD Review from this morning:-
I use this addon with some very complex rules and have always loved the addon, that is until v5.0, I've had to rollback to Version 4.6.5 and block auto updating, v5.0 seems like a different addon altogether, nothing imported, nothing worked and most of the features seem to be missing.
Please revert to the old version by:
1. Uninstall the version you have now (type about:addons in the address type and remove FoxyProxy)
2. Install the one version from here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/foxyproxy-standard/versions/ you want version 4.6.5
3. Your old settings will magically reappear
This is a temporary solution--that older version will only work until November 2017 when Firefox 57 comes out. But long before that time, the new version will have evolved with more features. Note that some features are not possible anymore due to Firefox's new addon ecosystem called WebExtensions. Does not work any more in 5.0.0 as many features were removed. Sad!
Update after reply from the developer: sadly it doesn't work anymore. With previous versions, I was able to "bypass" the proxy hardcoded in Firefox by my company, and that doesn't work with FoxyProxy v5 as it used to in v4.x. I rolled back to v4.x for now, hoping that this issue will be solved before Firefox v57. Thanks for you reply anyway!

Note that some features are not possible anymore due to Firefox's new addon ecosystem called WebExtensions. They are much more restricted than older addons (pre Firefox-57) - Nice to see that extension is now FF57+ compatible.
However are there any plans on restoring some old (that are currently missing) features like:
- Auto-choose proxy (based on pattern), always proxy etc,
- button icon indication of proxy usage.
Also the toolbar menu itself is a bit unnatural-looking comparing to other ones. Could you make it more similar to the coming FF57 styling guidelines?
