投稿日時: 10ヶ月前Hey Mark, I'm Dominik and I work as Product Manager at NordPass. We are crafting plan to massively fix issues with autofill at once for repetitive errors through machine learning techniques, but at the same time we're still investigating errors website by website.
Please let me know on which sites do you face the problem most often. Also, please ensure that you have given NordPass a permission to automatically fill the data by right clicking on the extension logotype in the Firefox browser and selecting "Manage extension" from the dropdown list.
On the other hand, directly in the NordPass application settings (not settings of Firefox store) that are hidden under the gear icon you can find section for Autofill & Autosave functionalities. Please double check how they are set - if you haven't blocked autofill for certain websites and if instant login option is turned on to make your experience way, way more comfortable.

Permission we ask for is the industry standard and it is necessary in every browser, so extension can use the data you saved in it for autofill purposes. We are zero knowledge company and your information is thoroughly encrypted - only you, through the Master Password, can decrypt it and then view or copy. It doesn't do that.
Currently I have to either manually open the plugin and copy/paste the login and password, or do the same with the desktop app.
What is the point of having a browser plugin if it doesn't offer basic functionality?開発者の返信
投稿日時: 10ヶ月前Hello, please ensure you gave NordPass a permission to copy and autofill the data. It can be done in application settings in browser store. Also, please remember about setting autofill & autosave options in your own style directly inside NordPass application - they can be found under gear icon. I wrote them to inquire if it would be possible to add biometrics for Firefox. There is currently no support and I consider this a security hazard. They replied there is support and to look well in the settings. After 11 emails where I send them data, screenshots etc....they finally say 'We are sorry but there is currently no support for biometrics in Firefox'. This is a joke.
Use other password management tools, NordPass has no intention of making this one reliable or grow.
EDIT AFTER DEVELOPER RESPONSE (SEE BELOW):
If as they say, bio-metrics in Firefox is treated as a security hazard, this should have been the first response I get from their team. Opposed to no response after 11 emails and finally a relevant and informed response on a Firefox review months later.開発者の返信
投稿日時: 10ヶ月前Hello, I am Dominik and I am responsible for product at NordPass. Situation is exactly opposite, because for now availability of biometrics on Firefox on MacOS is treated as security hazard. That's why we don't support Firefox MacOS with our authenticator (two-factor codes) in the browser extension. We do support though Firefox on Windows, as well as other browsers like Chrome and sister chromium-based browsers.
We don't know yet when we're going to unlock biometrics on Firefox MacOS back, but probably not sooner than in 2025. Let me know if that answers your concerns.

投稿日時: 10ヶ月前Hello, password list can be sorted alphabetically, by folder or by last used property. On top of it, you can also use filters that would extrapolate concrete list of passwords. Is that what you have been looking for?
Which phone do you use at the moment?

投稿日時: 10ヶ月前Hey Cody, please let us know which functionalities does not work you exactly. We're sure majority of them works just fine. If you talk about autofill, remember about giving NordPass permission to copy the data.- I posted previously, before I grudgingly switched to the new browser extension instead of the old desktop app browser extension. I had complained about the forced change. I also was hesitant because of my (and others) perception that the new version would be less secure. I am still not convinced about the security - because Nord never would explain why I shouldn't be concerned. You just said, in effect, don't worry about it. No technical explanation or reference to one.
Anyway, with that said, I want to state that this new browser extension works way way way better than the old one. It's consistently reliable. And another advantage is that I don't need to find a Linux version of the NordPass desktop program, which previously was difficult unless you use Ubuntu and don't mind Snap files.
Someone said you still need the desktop program. Well yes and no. If you don't mind opening the browser to get whatever you have stored in NordPass, then you don't have to have it. I use both in Windows but only have the browser extension in Linux, and I have no complaints.
So this is good. Now, if you (Nord) would just provide some technical explanation of how the security works when it's part of the browser - or why I should not be concerned about it. - 5 段階中 1 の評価Firefox ユーザー 18471890 によるレビュー (10ヶ月前)This is a generic "update" from the original "Desktop" addon. Now you have to login to Desktop AND the browser plugin.
The Desktop is the better option as it's easier to use for notes and better interface. The plugin should be used as simplicity for autofill on webpages, not as the overall product.
PLEASE bring back desktop functionality to this plugin!開発者の返信
投稿日時: 10ヶ月前With the standalone extension, you don't need to use desktop app anymore. Everything is perfectly covered within new browser add-on. To quickly add secure note, click extension logotype, + icon at the bottom of the extension dropdown and then write a note on the dedicated browser page. Voila. :)

Copying passwords using the copy button never really worked, you would have to open the record and then copy it manully. recently it stopped working on my laptop so i uninstalled it which i forgot syncs to my other machines, now it will not install just get the install just get the moving dot constently. going to start looking at alternatives. i dont have time to write length emails and submit logs and wait day for respones. somthing like an extension sould just work.
***Update***
Had to completely rip firefox from the machine and do a clean innstall now it seems to work! not ideal but it will do 開発者の返信
