I want it to open tab with the image directly after the current tab. Just like with normal links.

Pretty much does what it's supposed to do. Contrary to the belief of some, this extension doesn't even read page contents, and it merely provides a working "Open image in a new tab" button, as it should.

I've been using this extension for quite a long while already. It always does its job well with no fail.
