This add-on restores a browsing pattern many Firefox users have missed. When you open links in new tabs, Firefox normally gives those new tabs a clean slate. This extension re-creates the behavior of the much-loved BackTrack Tab History add-on, which no longer works in current Firefox versions. Your new tabs inherit the parent tab's history, so the back button leads somewhere meaningful.

• Retains the parent tab's full history when opening a link in a new tab using:
• Middle-click
• Cmd/Ctrl-click
• Configurable tab placement, selectable in the extension options:
• After all existing tabs
• After the current tab
• After the current tab if related (same top-level domain)
• Optional “switch to new tabs immediately” behavior
• Disable it to keep new tabs opening in the background
