For maximum reliability and privacy, the extension acts strictly as a local automation macro:

🔗 Step 1: Context Capture

Securely grabs the URL of your active YouTube video.

🧭 Step 2: Tab Resolution

Scans your browser for an existing Gemini session. If one exists, it brings it to the front. If not, it opens a fresh tab.

⌨️ Step 3: Prompt Handoff

Saves your prompt to local browser storage and navigates Gemini to a fresh page. A lightweight content script — pre-registered in the extension manifest — runs automatically on that page load, locates the chat input, pastes the prompt, and triggers the "Send" button. No script injection, no external communication.

🎮 How to Use

1. Set Your Prompt (Optional)
2. Right-click the extension icon and select "Options" to customize your default summary prompt.
3. Open YouTube
4. Visit any video you want to summarize.
5. Trigger the Summary
6. Click the extension icon in your toolbar, OR
7. Right-click anywhere on the page and select "Summarize with Gemini".
8. Watch the Magic
9. The extension will instantly switch to Gemini, paste the request, and generate your summary ✅
