How SafeBrowse works:

Checks domains against live threat intelligence

Lets you override or allow trusted sites

When a user navigates to a website, SafeBrowse checks the destination against trusted threat intelligence sources and DNS-based security intelligence, via a secure server-side service.

No personal data is collected or stored by the extension. Website checks are performed anonymously, and all threat analysis is handled externally to keep the browser extension lightweight and privacy-respecting.
