1. Data Collection
   Sidekick does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data or browsing history to external servers.
2. Local Storage
   The extension uses the storage permission solely to save your personalized settings, such as custom search URLs and UI language preferences, locally on your device or via your browser's built-in sync service.
3. Permissions
   
   contextMenus: Used only to provide the right-click search functionality.
   
   activeTab: Used only to access the text you have manually highlighted for searching or translation.
4. Third-Party Services
   When you click a search or translation option, the selected text is sent to the specific third-party website you chose (e.g., Google, Wikipedia, or a custom URL). This interaction is subject to the privacy policy of that third-party site.
5. No Data Sale
   We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your information to outside parties.
