5 stars, because I think, this can be fixed.
Version 5.13.1 (August 28, 2025):
- On the main page no red X after the channel name and no entries in the menu.
- But this works, when I open the video.
- Blocked videos are listed on the main page without a blocking-overlay, however, on the video's page you get the blocking-overlay.
- It seems that the blocking-overlay sometimes works on the main page as well.
The issue seems to have been fixed in

投稿日時: 3日前Hi, sorry you had a bad experience. Did you mean the process remains active after closing Firefox? If so, for how long? I'd like to know if you had any other add-ons running to see if this is a conflict, as other add-ons can cause the process to stay after closing the browser. I could not replicate what you said. I tried using this regex pattern to block all those annoying clickbaity videos with titles like "The X situation is crazy!" and it didn't block anything:

投稿日時: 3日前Hello. Does the entire extension not work or is just this specific regex?
Make sure that the regex is wrapped between slashes (/), and also add the "i" flag so it ignores if characters in the title is uppercase or lowercase.
The regex would look like this:
/\bsituation[\w\s]is[\w\s](crazy|insane|wild|unbelievable)/i

I had tried several diff code lines for uBO that did nothing to block members only vids and I was well past highly annoyed. - I mean... it does what it says it does, but would be a lot better if the notice that it's blocked a video didn't INCLUDE the word it was blocked because of, IN BOLD PRINT. So... there's words I don't want to see/hear in videos... and you feel the need to ANNOUNCE the thing that I have specifically told you *I don't want to see*. See where I'm going with this? You could like, instead, say "Blocked due to your YTBlock preferences." That would be better.

投稿日時: 2ヶ月前You can customize the overlay to not show the reason the video was blocked by going to the options page, go to "Overlays" on the left sidebar, then check "remove block reason". But the bold "BLOCKED" is not possible to remove for now. You can disable the entire overlay if you want by unchecking the "Show overlays" option. - Works well and helps a lot, especially love the ability to set click based disabling. Would be nice, if there was a way to apply the blocking to just the video and not the recommended videos on the side, as it slows down the site, even if I have disabled the sidebar with Untrap.

- Thanks for all your hard work on this. I've been happy with this extension until now, but since the latest update, videos from channels I've blocked are showing up again. When I hover over a video and click the red block button, the channel gets added to the block list in the options, but it doesn't actually hide the videos. I've been using it with the overlays hidden, and it seems like the blocking only works properly when the overlays are shown.

- Doesn't seem to work in private windows any more.
However the reason for 3 stars is that when a video/channel is blocked, you have to have the overlay enabled for it to actually be blocked. If I disable the overlay, then "blocked" videos/channels still appear in my suggestions. I just want them completely removed開発者の返信
