This Privacy Policy explains how Rachayita Labs ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the eOffice Notes Summarizer browser extension ("Extension") and associated services.

When you register for an account, we collect:

Password - Stored securely using bcrypt encryption (we cannot see your password)
Department and Designation (optional) - For organizational context

When you use the summarization features, we temporarily process:

eOffice document content (notes, text from PDF files)
Your queries and questions about documents


Important: Document content is processed in real-time for AI summarization and is NOT permanently stored on our servers. We only log usage counts (number of queries) for rate limiting purposes.
2.3 Usage Data

We collect anonymous usage statistics:

Number of queries made per day
Token counts (for rate limiting)
Response times (for performance monitoring)

2. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to provide our functionality:
Google Gemini AI

Document content is sent to Google's Gemini API for AI processing. Google's privacy policy applies to this processing: https://policies.google.com/privacy

We do not control how Google processes this data, but content is sent only for the purpose of generating summaries.
5. Data Storage and Security

Account data is stored in a secure SQLite database on our servers
Passwords are encrypted using bcrypt hashing
All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption
JWT tokens are used for secure authentication
Document content is processed in memory and not written to disk


1. Data Retention
   
   Account data: Retained until you delete your account
   Document content: Not retained (processed in real-time only)
   Usage logs: Retained for 90 days, then automatically deleted

Correct inaccurate data
Delete your account and associated data
Export your usage data

This Extension is intended for government employees and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
