UI & Layout Improvements

Reordered Controls
Buttons have been rearranged for better ergonomics and workflow:
Reload All → Random → Navigation → Reload Current → Sleep → Timer

Updated Icons

• Random: Restored the classic music shuffle–style icon
• Reload Current: Updated to a clear “Repeat One” icon
• Reload All: Updated to the standard “Repeat” icon

Color Coding Enhancements

• Reload All: Orange to indicate a bulk action
• Reload Current: Green to indicate a single-tab action
• Tab Sleeping: Turns Orange when active (ON), matching the Reload All button to establish a consistent visual language for major state changes

Simplified Sleep Control

• Replaced the toggle switch with a clean button
• Tooltip clearly indicates ON or OFF state

Improved Spacing

• Button spacing increased to 6px for a cleaner, more comfortable layout

Performance & Optimization

Settings Caching

• User settings (such as sleep mode status) are now cached in the background script
• Eliminates repeated storage reads on every rotation tick
• Significantly reduces CPU usage during long sessions

Optimized Preloading

• Reduced background preloading from 10 tabs to 5 tabs
• Improves memory usage while maintaining smooth transitions

Smart Pausing

• Manually clicking Next, Previous, or Reload now automatically pauses rotation

Safety Limits

• Enforced a minimum rotation interval of 5 seconds to prevent browser instability

Functionality Tweaks & Fixes

• Rotation continues even while the extension popup is open, providing real-time feedback
• Corrected capitalization and formatting across all button tooltips for consistency

• Tab Sleeping (Experimental): Added a new toggle (Moon icon) to automatically discard the previous tab when rotating. This helps free up memory and reduces RAM usage during long rotations, making your browser feel faster.
• Random Tab Navigation: Added a "Go to Random Tab" button (Green shuffle icon) to jump to a random tab in your window.
• Smart Rotation: Rotation now continues even if the popup is open, giving you better visibility of the action.

What's New in Version 5.1

This is a major update that adds the most requested feature: automatic tab rotation!

New Features

• Auto-Rotation: Click the new "Play" button to start automatically rotating through your open tabs. Click "Pause" to stop.
• Persistent Timer: The rotation timer now runs in the background! You can close the popup, and the tabs will keep rotating.
• State Memory: The extension now correctly remembers if you are in "Play" or "Pause" mode, even when the popup is closed.
• Dynamic Timer Control: A new violet-themed "stepper" control allows you to set the rotation speed, from 1 second to 30 seconds.
• Saved Time: Your chosen time setting is saved, so you only have to set it once.

Improvements & Fixes

• Smarter Rotation: Auto-rotation now automatically stops if you manually click "Reload," "Previous Tab," "Next Tab," or change the time.
• UI Polish: The new timer display uses a "Roboto Mono" terminal-style font for a clean, technical look.

Version 5.0 is a major update to NexyTab, focusing on new features and a complete visual overhaul.

New Features

• Automatic Tab Rotation: A new "Play" button has been added. When clicked, NexyTab will automatically rotate to the next tab every 10 seconds. Clicking "Pause" stops the rotation. (Note: This feature is active only while the popup is open).
• Dynamic Tooltips: The Play/Pause button tooltip now clearly states the 10-second interval and updates to "Stop Rotating Tabs" when active.

• Complete UI Overhaul: The extension has been redesigned with a sleek, modern dark theme.
• New "Music Player" Icons: All icons have been updated to a "music player" style (Repeat, Previous Track, Play/Pause, Next Track) to match the new rotation feature.
