vanilla privacy policy
this is how our extension vanilla ("we", "our", or "the extension") uses your data.
"website content" here's how we use the website content on the pages you visit: we just go over things
like links and metadata tags. specifically tags like the generator metadata tag and the page icon link and
all image links. we also check the domain you are on (like example.com) to ensure that it isn't some weird
ai site.
"web history" we keep track of which sites you visit to show you analytics in the extension popup. this
includes the domain names of sites where we detect builders and basic visit counts.
analytics we create the data we make ourselves is the analytics you can see when you click on the
extension popup:
sites detected - how many sites the extension has detected while running
detection rate - non-detected to detected ratio (like 44%)
session sites visited - how many sites total you've visited while the extension is running
that's pretty much all the data we collect.
nothing is shared with third parties and all data is only available locally on your device.
your control there's a simple "reset stats" button in the extension that will clear all local data if you want
to start fresh.
