Use to be wonderful. But, while I can still block channels, which is great, it has started to hide any random channel when I type it in the search box... that have not been blocked... which is becoming increasingly frustrating ... but it hasnt been updated in over a year, so this might not be fixed ...

Previously a five-star rating, but doesn't seem to affect comments by blocked parties anymore, which was my primary reason for using it. A shame, as it was effective and convenient for that previously.

For other purposes, it may still work fine.

A genuine game changer. It makes the site actually good. I spent a couple hours putting in keywords and going through manually blocking channels when I first installed it and Youtube is now a completely different website. There are no videos of news, NSFW content, mindrot tik tok style content, reddit content, drama, stupid trends, kids content, memes, and so much more on the site now that I've installed this extension.

I've managed to turn youtube into a glorified documentary/video essay website with some gaming, book reviews, and game/book lore content mixed in.

I can't recommend this extension highly enough. It also barely uses up any resources on my PC to run.

Great for getting rid of clickbaity channels Youtube LOVES to push in front of your face.

It both made my Youtube experience both better and worse. On one hand, I was able to stop certain channels from constantly being recommended to me or showing up in my search results. On the other hand, it slowed the site down considerably.

If that problem could be solved, this add-on would be perfect.

Blocking 16,785 channels so far, and this addon is still working like a champ. I block about 20 channels per day. The only thing that takes FOREVER is if I try to export/import my addon settings... lol. This, in conjunction with SponsorBlock, uBlock Origin, AdGuard AdBlocker, Enhancer for YouTube, and the fact I don't have a google account so I never log in, my youtube experience is PERFECT!

My favorite addon, although i use others that are 'essential', which i would have to choose first, but this one is most important for my daily browsing on youtube, as I could manually skip ads, or ignore tracking, or remember my passwords, or get used to white background.
. there are many BS youtube channels that are just so mediocre or legitimately fake/false.

Need ONE thing though, curated lists of things to block, like an adblocker.

Doesn't work. Blocked channels get past the blacklist and then the X button to block them is greyed out since you have previously added them to the list.

Works perfectly with normal videos, but i wish it could work with youtube shorts channels too. When it does, i'll put 5 stars

Functional but requires copy/pasting desired channels/videos into a separate menu. The formerly working BlockTube just did this through a right-click menu which is far more convenient. The only thing in the right-click menu for this is "report a bug".
