This add-on is constantly phoning home, on all browsers & engines. I saw this in my Pi-hole - even when you disable the buried sync option. I haven't looked up the payload or code but beside the tracking it also displays some news/donation adverts in front/overlaying the config options.

Makes firefox lag somehow now

Had to inactive it since i was slowing the brownser and showing a firefox's pop up suggesting to stop the add-on, what i've done.

Used to work fine, now makes the browser lag and pop up issues.

Doesn't work on WordPress dashboard when editing a post or page inside the block editor.

Since latest update the add-on is crashing my tabs. When it doesn't crash my tabs it's extremely slow and uses a lot of CPU.

I agree with what MrTwisby said in his review. FireFox moves like a slug with Dark Reader Ext active. I have used it for a long time but it is so bad now, unstalling it.

Disabling it on a site/domain just likes to not work I guess!

Beginning today Dark Reader makes the address bar and menus very dark, if its theme is enabled :-(

I don't know about the PC version, but this extension extremely badly lags Android Firefox which even causes it to lag entire phone, when turned it off everything is smooth again

after searching for months i finally found the culprit, it was this damn addon. it makes firefox so slow that gmail or youtbe hardly work anymore, many other sites don't even load. absolutely NOT recommended if you use firefox.

Biggest dark reader program and still can't detect dark mode even on the most popular websites, while simultaneously breaking them.
At the same time, they beg for money at every corner in their UI and website, blaming their users for not paying in their blogposts, and acting like it's the user's fault when they get review bombed. Think for a second, does a universally loved extension get review bombed like that? No. Dark Reader, while the best, still has huge issues. Mainly the people behind it. They only do it for the money.

Oh, and if all that wasn't enough, it absolutely kills the browser performance, both in real usage and in benchmarks. In most benchmarks it only reaches 50% of the speed compared to having Dark Reader off.. just use something else

The "news" pop ups on the bottom of the addon window are a completely pointless and stupid idea that distract me from managing this addon effectively. I am sick of these out of touch software developers that think the UI of their software is the perfect channel to push ads, news, or "HEY LOOK, WHATS NEW?" spam in your face.
