This add-on works well and I definitely recommend the Fixed Location option for folks who need to tell nosy applications to look for the user someplace far way.
I do wish that the Fixed Location's Search capability would be implemented. - Yettwasezmel 1 ɣef 5sɣur Aseqdac Firefox 12990002, pred 7 rokmiWell it works, but be nice to have the gps lat and log boxes to add the location there. Despite moving the location on the map it will put you somewhere else nearby, so takes some practice to get it right
Update
Well in firefox windows 10 im still getting asked to allow, even though its set to fixed, and its giving real location, this is on main pc, laptop is ok?Tiririt n ineflayen
yeffeɣ-d deg pred 7 rokmiThanks for the feedback! If you think that this is a bug, can you please report it in https://github.com/chatziko/location-guard/issues, with enough information to have it fixed? - Yettwasezmel 5 ɣef 5sɣur Aseqdac Firefox 14367471, pred 7 rokmiIt works great. I've been using it for few years and love it.
It is not to hide or fake your IP location... it is for geolocation which is different. People gets confuse thinking that is going to mask their IP address location. For that you need a VPN or Proxy.
Really good product. For a bit I thought it was taken out from the Firefox Add-ons and I got scared looking for this again or an alternative, but couldn't find anything like this anywhere else.
Thanks for your work. It really works as you describe it. Love it - Yettwasezmel 4 ɣef 5sɣur cantheix, pred 7 rokmi

- Yettwasezmel 4 ɣef 5sɣur wolfesf, pred 7 rokmiGreat add-on for live streaming. A litle tricky to use 'til you understand it's quirks but does exactly what's supposed to do. - After reading some of the the other reviews I thought it may be helpful to mention , I'm using this app on FF 62.o.3 with a vpn service and privacy badger. Merci, for this great privacy app.
- Yettwasezmel 5 ɣef 5sɣur Aseqdac Firefox 9842646, pred 7 rokmiIt works even when you're on WiFi, where other location blockers fail (this is where they can really pinpoint you). I love that it has a search function in the map to quickly go to another country. It also remembers the location you want on a site by site basis.
- Yettwasezmel 1 ɣef 5sɣur Nico, pred 8 rokmiSorry is this is firefoxs fault but I funny enough would like to "fake" my real location on my PC because it actually does not have any GPS. And the modern web is all about smartphones and GPS so there is a app I actually can't use because of no location send. But even the example fails with "Geolocation error: Unknown error acquiring position." When I set my location and then click the location button. And yes I have given it permission.

yeffeɣ-d deg pred 8 rokmiThanks for your report. Not sure what's happening but this does not seem normal. Could you please open an issue here with more info so that we track the problem?
https://github.com/chatziko/location-guard/issues - Yettwasezmel 2 ɣef 5sɣur Quezako, pred 8 rokmiFake location doesn't work with Firefox 60.
Not even with this extension demo. - Yettwasezmel 4 ɣef 5sɣur Aseqdac Firefox 13993105, pred 8 rokmiLove the app. I would only like to see a couple minor changes. It would be great if you could put in multiple fixed locations and save them as a list. This way you could switch if needed quickly and easily rather than manually zooming in and out and clicking on the map. The rest of the app features are quite well thought out.

yeffeɣ-d deg pred 8 rokmiHello, please feel free to report this issue and provide more information here:
https://github.com/chatziko/location-guard/issues
I'm not sure what issue you are experiencing, but note that Location Guard is not meant to protect against IP-based geolocation, but instead to protect the location exposed via javascript. You can find more information about this here:
https://github.com/chatziko/location-guard/#why-some-websites-detect-my-location-although-i-use-location-guard- Yettwasezmel 4 ɣef 5sɣur Aseqdac Firefox 13486581, pred 8 rokmiThe permissions this app require can... Read carefully what permissions this plugin can access:
Access your data for all websites:
The extension can read the content of any web page you visit as well as data you enter into those web pages, such as usernames and passwords.
Extensions requesting this permission might:
Read product and price information from a page to help find you the best price on items you're shopping for
Offer a password manager that reads and writes details of your username and password
Provide an ad blocker by reading the content of each web page you open to find and remove ad codeTiririt n ineflayen
yeffeɣ-d deg pred 8 rokmiHello,
Location Guard needs to be able to modify the javascript geolocation API for any webpage. There is no way to do so other than using the generic permission to "Access your data for all websites".
This does not mean that Location Guard reads your data. The extension is open source and reviewed by Mozilla, any malicious behaviour would be easily detected.
Note that the "Access your data for all websites" is standard for most addons, it's hard to do anything without it. Ghostery, for instance, is one of the most well known addons for privacy and does use it. Same for uBlock, AdBlock Plus, etc. - Yettwasezmel 5 ɣef 5sɣur Aseqdac Firefox 13874175, pred 8 rokmiIt really works awesome! For special effects use proxy

yeffeɣ-d deg pred 8 rokmiHello, vrv.co is almost certainly using your IP to detect your country.
Location Guard is not _meant_ to protect against that (no browser extention can), but instead to protect the location exposed via javascript. You can find more information about this here:
