If I could use only one extension, this would be it. I've been using it for years and will keep doing so.

The must have add-on for every PC! Blocks every annoying ads and pop-ups. Can't leave without this.

I used Adblock from 2009 to 2014, then switched to uBlock Origin in 2014 and never looked back. It is a fantastically customizable ad and Javascript blocker. I've never run into any issues with it.
