This is a genuinely excellent extension for TOTPs and 2FA. People who complain that this doesn't hold their TOTPs on your computer can look for Ente Auth, one that does have this functionality. Although I prefer this since it's much safer to have your TOTPs on your phone.

This extension instead sends a notification to your phone and you can tap on "approve" to get the code sent directly to your browser when needed. There's the extra step of selecting your phone and hitting approve, but I'd much rather have that for security purposes.

There's nothing better. Excellent design, feature-rich, and extremely secure.

kinda useless, still need phone anyway

Browser started popping up unprovoked "promo-newtab.club" links which tried to redirect to Russian sites.

This plugin per grep below was the culprit found via the GUID in about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox

Kann Export - Automatisches ausfüllen via Addon - fast perfekt! Fehlt nur ein Kurzbefehl zum triggern des 2FAS Addons im Browser.

Pointless because I have to look at my phone anyway to approve the request.

Extension isn't working, it says "Browser Extension data error, Please reinstall browser extension or contact with 2FAS Support on Discord" I've reinstalled the extension but the error is still there.

The extension should work standalone without smartphone.

The extension is ok, I have used it in Firefox and Chrome for a year now due to Authy shutting down the desktop client, however you still need your phone to confirm before it will send the code. I wish the extension would just generate codes on the computer.

Basically pointless. I tried this in the hopes of not having to hunt down and unlock my phone when needing a code, but you still have to do so. Why install another extension which requires full access to my browser for such an insignificant workflow change that isn't even easier.

You still need to manually approve on the mobile app each time you need 2FA.

I wanted 2FA authentication from my desktop, so I don't always need to grab my phone, log in, go to home screen, open the app, approve, BLAH BLAH. Still the same huge hassle with this extension.

For those people saying "bUT yoU wIlL gET HAcKeD!!!11!!", no, if this was an actual 2FA-extension then you would be able to set up your PC/Browser to be the second authentication.

Great app lock

After Authy announcing the end of their desktop app I was looking for an alternative and found 2FAS, an open source project (foss), it was my final choice because it has the option to export your data and therefore allowing you to migrate somewhere else easily if needed, thing that Authy didn't have... now if I want to change I'll just export it somewhere else, no more setting up all accounts again.

Funktioniert sehr gut. Empfehle zuerst das Video anzuschauen, dann seht Ihr wie es funktioniert. Und natürlich braucht man weiterhin sein Gerät mit der App (sonst wäre es ja auch mein MFA)
