AI Chat Saver sɣur Praphull

AI Chat Downloader is a simple tool that lets you save your AI conversations with a single click. It works on Outlier's Model Playground, ChatGPT, and Claude — the platforms most people use day to day for AI chat.

I built this because I kept losing track of helpful conversations and wanted a quick way to save them without copying and pasting everything manually.

What you can do with it:

• Save any chat as a clean Markdown (.md) file
• Save any chat as a Word (.doc) file that opens properly in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or LibreOffice
• Copy the full conversation to your clipboard with one click
• It keeps all the formatting — bold, code blocks, lists, tables, headings — everything looks the way it should
• Optionally include the AI's thinking/reasoning process if the model supports it
• Add timestamps and metadata to keep things organized

Where it works:

• Outlier Model Playground (outlier.ai and dataannotation.tech)
• ChatGPT (chatgpt.com and chat.openai.com)
• Claude (claude.ai)

How to use it:

1. Go to any chat on a supported platform
2. Click the AI Chat Downloader icon in your toolbar
3. Pick your options — timestamp, metadata, thinking process
4. Hit "Download .md", "Download .doc", or "Copy to Clipboard"

That's it. No account needed, no sign-up, nothing to configure.

Privacy:

This extension doesn't collect, store, or send any data anywhere. Everything happens locally in your browser. Your conversations are yours — I have no interest in them and no way to access them even if I wanted to.

The only permission it uses is "activeTab", which means it can only read the page you're currently looking at, and only when you click the extension icon. It can't run in the background or access any other tabs.
