The Firefox prod build was leaving a compile-time dev flag (KAPTION_DEV) unsubstituted, which threw a ReferenceError on the app chunk's static deps and silently killed init — no audio buttons, no translation hooks, no MCP. Defining the flag in vite.config.firefox.ts restores everything.
