Automatically check companies for consumer rights violations while you browse the web.
This extension helps you make informed decisions by alerting you when you visit websites of companies that have documented consumer rights issues. Simply browse the web as usual - the extension works silently in the background, checking each company against Louis Rossmann's Consumer Rights Wiki.
How it works:
When you visit a company's website, the extension automatically extracts the company name and searches for any documented violations. You'll see a badge indicating whether issues were found, and can click the extension icon for detailed information.
Features:
Data Source:
Powered by Consumer Rights Wiki (consumerrights.wiki), maintained by Louis Rossmann, a well-known advocate for consumer rights and the Right to Repair movement.
Perfect for online shoppers, conscious consumers, and anyone who wants to support businesses with good consumer practices.
The code is open-source and available on my GitHub: https://github.com/raphael-weigand/crw-browser-extension
There are some issues extracting the company name from the URL, this will be improved in a later version.
