Basic functionality works well. It copies text that you select.
The problem with this (and every other auto-copy webextension I've found) is recognizing which fields *not* to copy from. For example, this extension doesn't copy from basic text fields, which is good. But it does copy from Gmail's compose field, which is bad.
A simple mitigation for this would be a user-manageable site blacklist. Alas, this extension does not have that, or any options at all.
My search for an auto-copy extension that really works right must continue ...

    If this extension doesn't work for you, don't rant complaints here - the author has died. You may want to switch to "Copy On Select 2" by "farblos".

    Yes, the extension HAS been updated since then, but those are automatic updates by Mozilla (like "1.1resigned1"), which don't change functionality.

    Add a popup which says ''COPIED!" because now I am not sure when the app is copying or not. There is an extension for Edge called Auto Copy (Developer: Jamie Hill) which shows the popup at the right bottom of my screen, with the words ''Auto copied!''. Please? And thank you for your long work for the last 5 years.

    This is an OKAY extension, quite a bit old.

    Good thing is there are better alternatives now. "CopyIn2Clicks" being one of them!

    I which it had some options to automatically remove spaces and indents, and a delay copy option.
    I also which it had a copy plain text option.
