a pop-up allows the user to set a custom URL to be loaded as a new tab.when first opening a new tab, the extension instructs the user on how to set up the desired URL to be opened as a new tab.

This extension replaces the default new tab page with a user-defined URL.
 
To set the custom URL, click on the extension icon in the browser toolbar, enter the desired URL in the input field, and click "save". The next time a new tab is opened, that URL will be loaded in place of the default new tab.
 
There are no background scripts or trackers. This extension does not collect any user data. It’s a lightweight utility built with privacy and simplicity in mind.
