Kindly do not use this extension. There is too many dark patterns and data stealing.

Whenever Honey had first entered the zeitgeist I gave them a chance hoping for a decent coupon finder. Every time I attempted to find coupons with the extension it would scan, then tell me it found nothing, after it had promised there were infact coupons available. Thanks to the investigative journalism by MegaLag, we now know that was almost certainly a complete scam, telling you there were coupons when there were not Active coupons, but at the time I thought it was simply a useless extension and a waste. I uninstalled it and never looked back.

Well, dodged a bullet there, ay! What a sleazy piece of code.

Some of his allegations:

1) Not only does it steal cookies (under last attribution)
2) It ignores the "stand done" requirements
3) It has code to detect whether someone is coming from a test account, affiliate user, or whether someone is a new honey account (Think VW Dieselgate).
4) Honey claims that millions of codes are scanned, but this is not the case
5) It takes coupons down

Scam, stealling affiliate links and acting with a shady behaviour.

This extension is malicious. Don't download it. It's parent company PayPal doesn't respect your freedom, don't use their services as well.

Beware, this is a bad actor all around, hurting the consumers, companies selling their products through stores, and content creators and influencers alike, all while intruding your privacy.

Fraudulent spyware. Fully profiles your computer's activity and is programmed to dodge detection when you investigate. DO NOT INSTALL. If you are a user, UNINSTALL NOW. Document your use and prepare for a juicy class action. Harms the user, harms the store front, harms their competitors. Harms EVERYONE in the name of making a pretty penny. Every one and thing about this is a verifiable liar. DO. NOT. USE.

Never worked when I tried it on top of being essentially spyware. Avoid.
