To do this, type \$ or \\ rather than simply $ or \, so LaTeX for Messenger can tell the difference. Previously, dollar signs and backslashes were essentially always interpreted as math delimiters.
- There should be no more issues with rendering math inside messages with complex formatting and styling, such as the bulleted lists and code snippets Meta AI generates not infrequently.
