sɣur Aseqdac Firefox 14771097, 6 年前Doesn't allow displaying local HTML files, deselects the URL bar on the redirect to the webpage requiring me to press `ctrl+l` every time after I press `ctrl+t`, and is generally slower than just going to the website itself.
It's a shame that this is the best Firefox has to offer. I was told that this extension would work exactly like the built-in new tab page used to work, but it doesn't at all.

- Not sure why it requires all permissions and your data and the developer doesn't exactly address this even though multiple people in the reviews have brought it up. Most trustworthy extensions are open source nowadays so it's really weird how this issue hasn't been addressed.

- the number of permissions (and amount of private data it harvests from you in the process) is as insane as it is unnecessary for the small amount of work it needs to do under the hood. there are alternatives you can use that require no permissions beyond reading your browser settings

- Been using this plugin since FF did out with the "browser.newtab.url" flag in about:config.
I understand FF did out with that flag because it was an easy target for malware, but I'll never understand why "homepage" isn't an option for the new tab page. This plugin adds such an obvious feature.
