Version 2.0 is a full rewrite of the extension and some features have changed:
- New look, new options page.
- Full core rewrite, removed external library dependencies.
- Removed support for NZB interception due to Manifest V3.
- Removed support for universal Newznab detection. However, see the next point.
- Added a Hotkey to invoke the Newznab integration manually (check your browser settings). This should work on any standard Newznab site.

New Options features for finding and verifying API URL:

- Updated text and tooltips on the options UI, prompting the user to use full instead of partial URLs.
- When the user inputs a partial URL, the options will prompt them to Test Connection
- When Test Connection is clicked and if the "Use API URL exactly as shown" is not checked, the NZBUnity will systematically check each URL in order of most likely to least. If a valid URL is found (can connect and receive data), that URL will automatically be set as the API URL options and "Use API URL exactly as shown" will also be automatically checked.

This new feature is backwards compatible with existing settings, nothing is overwritten without user clicking "Test Connection", but it is recommended to do so when using newer SABnzbd versions.
