The goal of this extension is not to change the global setting.

It adds a new item in the context menu that will open the link in the new tab and switch immediately.

This allows the user to keep normal behavior and only use this when needed.

The scope is very narrow, as so is the footprint of this extension

Wouldn't that be the default behavior of "Open Link in New Tab" (the first item on context menu of a link)
