Parsha Tab is a browser extension that displays the weekly Torah portion on your new tab page. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

Data Collection

Parsha Tab does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to our servers. We do not have servers that receive your data.

Local Storage

The extension stores the following data locally on your device only:
- Your selected color theme preference
- Your location setting (for accurate parsha schedule)
- Cached parsha data (for faster loading)

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.

Third-Party Services

Parsha Tab connects to the following third-party services to function:

• Hebcal (hebcal.com) — To fetch the current parsha schedule
• Sefaria (sefaria.org) — To fetch Torah portion text
• IP-API (ip-api.com) — One-time request to detect your approximate location for accurate parsha timing

These services have their own privacy policies. We only request the minimum data needed (parsha schedule and text content).

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or transfer any user data to third parties.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected with an updated date at the top of this document.
