Three words: Job Well Done.

I love how all the relevant dates found are shown in the Pop-up when Published Date is activated. Because the nature of this "Published Date" and "Updated Date" business an imprecise science, you get to evaluate for yourself, which Dates found make the most sense to you.

It works like a charm, and it even displays the dates a page was modified. The only time it doesn't work is when there simply isn't any creation/modification data in the page source — but that's to be expected. It'll save me a lot of time that I'd be digging through page sources looking for the creation date.
