Only things that appear are a stat counter (I really didn't understand for what; it's useless if there's a max limit of downloaded data), links for homepage, report error, and a Buy Me a Coffee button. It's asking for update, but never updates. May review and change rating if it works one day.

works like a charm now, with the convenient button from this extension, and a download history from that one

"The RedGifs Downloader extension adds a convenient download button to RedGifs pages, allowing you to easily save videos and images directly to your device. It also shows your download count and total download size."
So yeah, it adds a button to the actual redgifs website on the right by the other buttons like fullscreen, mute, like, etc.
Changed rating to 4 stars. I'll buy you a coffee if it works.
