Actually replaces text when coding! Not just a visual replacement that will go away once you click somewhere else!

This worked on sites that the others wouldn't. It works for my needs, but I can see how replacing everything at once might a problem for some people. A little more control would be nice. Also, the ability to save frequently used patterns and replacements.

Although that I this is a very interesting extension and can be a time saver to many text writing users on the web, I gave only 3 stars because it can ONLY replace text and symbols in the text box of "Google translate" website only. It doesn't work on any other website, or Addon/extension which have full/or pop up text page INPUT window. And as I can see this extension hasn't been updated since 2018. Fix these two problems and I will give 5 stars on my rating.

* If you need to use more configurated substitutions list - take "FoxReplace" from Marc
* If you need to use favorites, find/replace history and templates for cursor auto-inserting - take "Find & Replace for Text Editing" from Dalimil Hajek

2 features I would like to see added
1 -When I enter the find/replace field I would like to have any text there highlighted so I can just type over it.
2 - Since I already have my hands on the keyboard, a keyboard shortcut for replace and clear would be helpful

Works Great! ... I needed a simple find/replace tool for Firefox and added this extension in hopes I could cut my work time down drastically, specifically with updating multiple fields in large forms that open up in dynamic iframes. At first, previous versions would not recognize the iframe forms and trying to copy/paste values into the tool was difficult, but I reached out to the developer for this extension and was met with a prompt response and update (v1.3) that made this tool a total success! ... Thanks erosman!

Nice addon but can it made so I can add multiple words to be replaced on the go dynamically on every page it finds a word (so I won't have to click replace manually)? Also for ability to replace tab names?
