sɣur Aseqdac Firefox 18936765, prije 6 mjeseciFinal update: I was pretty gullible in thinking that the downvotes would actually be real. What I've deducted that they're actually just a depiction of what the extension thinks it should be based on even your own vote. Bottom line is the downvotes aren't actually real this extension merely produces a count to fit a narrative based on your own vote. Silly of me to think that a third party app would change something like that on youtube's websites. I do feel pretty had tbh.
I actually think it does work. You have to do some password logging in (to check to see if youtube's just honoring your vote while logged in) and out due to youtube's way of displaying the downvotes, but with this app you can see them regardless if you're logged into yt or not which I later found. So when I logged out, closed browser (cookies deleted) and then opened browser to the same vid - and not logged in....I could see the downvote in-fact had changed. I did this with both downvoting and then clearing the downvote by upvoting and it does seem to register my change in the vote.

The problem I mentioned prior is gone now. I can now rate this 5/5!! The Dev lost their mind and started replying and arguing with EVERYONE in the comments who was upset with the change and left a comment about his extension.
The Dev messed up big time in how he implemented this ad and how he is responding to the negative feedback. I removed the extension because the Dev appears to be really unstable and not untrustworthy. He even responded to this comment below blaming everyone else but himself. If he has this much of an ego I would be afraid of what he might do and don't want him to have access to anything on my machine.Tiririt n ineflayen
yeffeɣ-d deg prije 15 danaI was arguing with people who can't read - like geniuses who decided that the extension is paid now. (i.e. missed the point that all the features that existed before - are still free, and only the new, advanced features are paid, and used to cover the cost of running a free service for 20 million users. - Yettwasezmel 5 ɣef 5sɣur Riku70X, prije 19 dana

yeffeɣ-d deg prije mjesecMonetization is needed, among other things, to pay for operating the extension.
Only advanced new features are paid - what you had for free is still free, and will always be free
All other extensions\apps with dislikes are using my API - with the api dying due to lack of funds - all other apps will die as well.
Unfortunately the extension requires quite a large database (~15TB) serivng 20 million unique daily users (chrome is not the only platform) - and it costs money.
The idea behind paid features was also to cover the costs (since donations became smaller than the hosting costs). Without bothering free users too much. - Yettwasezmel 1 ɣef 5sɣur Aseqdac Firefox 6120711, prije mjesecasking for premium for such a simple addon

If that's the direction this add-on goes in aka locking key features behind a paywall - I'll remove this. I do get that an add-on like this can be pricey to maintain but this could have been handled better imo.
