    I still had the modal, but the save button doesn't do anything (console shows nothing either). Still the same with version 3.0, sorry.

    Hello again,
    Clicking the save button should trigger the Firefox native popup that comes from the beginning of address bar.
    But from what I can see, the popup is displayed only first time you click the button.
    Further clicks will close the native Firefox popup and you will need to click the "key" icon in the beginning of addressbar, which will re-open the native popup.

    I've re-tested the addon now on my home PC where the old version was installed and clicking the button wouldn't trigger the popup, but after update, clicking it (while having some credentials entered) would trigger the popup.
    So I'm 100% sure I've fixed "something" that was broken :), although I really can be sure anymore as obviously Firefox did changed the behavior and it may differ even across operating systems (I'm running Win 11).

    Anyway, this addon is not as useful as before since Firefox now allows manually adding new passwords in their "about:logins" page, so maybe that will help you :).

    Checking it now, you are right, Firefox no longer shows the save password modal!
    But I think I've managed to fix it.
    New version 3.0 was just approved and is available now.

    Firefox's "Save login info" dialog doesn't appear when you click "Save My Password!" button.

    Not working on Mac Firefox. Unlike lots of other apps did not automatically add icon to tool bar. When I did find and put it there clicking it does nothing.

    Hello,
    The automatic toolbar pinning is indeed missing, thanks for pointing that out.
    Note that it won't work on THIS page, because Firefox prevents addons from running here.
    But it should work fine on all other normal pages.

    Suggestion/Comment/Idea - that was actually removed from Firefox over a decade ago 😡💢
    When saving passwords was new, there was a manual override for difficult sites. On the password field, use Ctrl+Enter or Shift+Enter, and it would forcibly save. Idk if you can do that with the WebExt addons and the Enter keybinding. BUT! Still great!

    Just tried it and it works great. My only concern is that I am sharing my password with a non Mozilla addon.

    Don't worry about that. The addon has no permissions so it can't share it even if it wanted to.
    Also the source code is available within addon itself so anyone can verify it.
    One more thing - it's actually mine addon, I'm the author, not Mozilla :). And I'm happy it helped you just like it helped me!
