Tab Home

Tab Home is a Firefox extension that makes browser tabs feel more like pages in a notebook. Instead of letting every site fully control the tab label and the tab's sense of place, you can give each tab your own name and define a home base URL for that tab.

Give a tab a custom display name that stays consistent while you move around a site.

This is useful for tabs that represent a task, project, queue, account, or section of your day. A site can keep changing page titles as you navigate, but the tab can continue to read like your own label: "Work Queue", "Client Notes", "Research", or whatever makes sense to you.

Set a tab home

Save the current URL as the home base for a tab, then return to it from the extension action.

This is the core idea of Tab Home: a tab can have a main or key section of a website that you always return to. You can wander through pages, detail views, dashboards, documents, or issue threads, then jump back to the tab's chosen home base without hunting through history or opening another bookmark.
