Was simple and great, but the new version 3 requires extra permissions (clipboard and downloads/history) that I'm not prepared to grant.

Clearly those permissions are necessary for the new features and that's fair enough, but it's no longer what I'm looking for.

"Offline QR Code Generator" by rugk does the same thing without requiring permission to access all browser tabs. Don't know why this add-on needs it when obviously it only needs the current tab URL to make a QR code.

Why bother with an extension? You can send tabs between devices on all platforms natively.
