Overall, after usinig this extension for several months, I really like it. The reason I have only given four stars is because there is one addition I would like to see...

I will explain. I like the level of control provided by the Suspender settings, being able to whitelist, control which tabs get suspended and for how long, being able to suspend the suspender for X period of time, and so on.

Every time I have had a need to alter the suspending of my tabs I have been able to do it. However, today I could not. I wanted to keep the extension running in one browser window, but suspend operation in another browser window (EG it works for all tabs in window 1, and disabled for all tabs in window 2 - obviously whitelist applies still on window 1)...

However I was unable to do what I wanted. I have been able to fine tune Tab Suspender exactly the way I want (or in a similar equally effective way) every time I have needed to. Only this time, I could not. Save temporarily whitelisting all the tabs in window 2 (and thus any tabs in window 1 for that site/domain get whitelisted also), there was no way to achieve the desired effect.

This is the reason I do not give 5 stars, even though I do want to. In all likelihood, having multiple firefox windows open is not the default mode of operation, and so I would put this additional feature into the "Pause Suspender" settings page, and along with the "Pause Suspender for X period of time" control, have a ticklist/toggle to choice which window(s) to pause (or which window to not pause, depending on how you want to word it).

Used an insane amount of processing power for 0 reason and once uninstalled it still worked with the session without the lag and performance usage

edit; Might be a memory loop but traces are still in my brower: Quite a weird issue as now all my tabs expect a few "suspend" but is nice; if possible though i do want to look into why its still around

Nice, But can we disable notification?

I've been looking for tab suspender that has screenshot feature because I want to monitor a list every few hours that will change on refresh and I have to take note what was the last stuff on that list before refresh, and this works great. If I may suggest, please add option to control the transparency of Tab Suspended white box, or maybe the option to make it smaller. Also, I don't know if this also happens on browser restart, but after I restarted the PC and opened my browser, the tabs will still be suspended but the screenshots was gone. Is it possible to make the screenshots stay on this condition?

This is the answer to my prayers. I need a lot of tabs open at one time, especially from YouTube and this means that I could be using over 25gb of RAM without this suspender. But not anymore thanks to Tab Suspender!! Now I'm only using 13gb. I've saved over 12gb of RAM and no longer is my Mac using swap file on the hard disk and no longer does my computer feel unresponsive and slow and I also don't see the spinning colour wheel anymore and I used to encounter this regularly. I have an M4 Mac with 32gb of RAM and it used to run like an old 386 with Dial-up because Firefox doesn't know how to manage memory properly. Thanks for such a great extension!

Good features, but making a notification each time a tab is suspended no thanks.

For some reason the only tab suspender that seems to work for me. I wonder if it would be possible to have an option for automatically waking up a tab upon switching to it?

Works as advertised. I'm also calling for an option to disable the zzz on suspended tabs!

It could have better with the header title when showing title while suspending that exists URL layout, I'm more used to it like the great suspender.
Additional, It doesn't reduce RAM usage, it's same as active tabs. :-(

Work well BUT we need an option to NOT suspend an active tab (even without sound or input), if i have a tab open, i don't want to suspend it, even if my mouse is not on it :/

If i have a youtube 3 Youtube tab opened, even if one is "active", they will all be suspended if they don't have sound playing or have input, but the one that are opened (visible on the window, sorry i don't know how to explain it better) i don't want that one to be suspended

Suggestion for dev...if you could specify the website TITLE on each of the suspended pages (perhaps right above the image near the top of the white box)...then this would make navigation so much easier when clicking across multiple suspended tabs. Hopefully this can be added in a future update! Great addon though, thanks.

Cool addon! Keeps my browser snappy by suspending inactive tabs without breaking a sweat. The UI’s clean, way better than clunky alternatives, and I dig how it skips tabs with unsaved forms or media. The ZZZ animation’s a bit gimmicky, but it’s fine. Wish there was a toolbar button to toggle it off quickly when I’m multitasking. Still, it’s solid for managing my tab chaos. But please, more updates.

The biggest limitation that this extension has is the inability to export your white list or sync them to your Mozilla account which then would sync across your devices.

Definitely working as intended! Functions akin to The Great Suspender/the Marvellous Suspender. Haven't tested the RAM consumption yet though.

Would love an option to manually suspend a tab, and also have the tab title be the original title, instead of showing "Suspended:...". As much as this is helpful in differentiating between suspended and active tabs, when you have multiple tabs on one window, it's just a row of "Suspended"s.

Please check the latest version:
It suspends immediately all the new tabs that I opened through "Open Link in New Tab" and "Open Link in New Container Tab".
And as long as I click away, i.e. switch to other tab, some tab, e.g. the homepage of this addon on mozilla will immediate become suspended, after it become an inactive tab.

(I am using LibreWolf 137.0.2-1 in Windows 11 x64)

It's working, but may I ask for "Whitelist" or something? I don't want to suspend specific websites

Features work as expected. Kind of like the Great suspender chrome extension.
