The main issue with Mobile browsers is that the OS will put the browser to sleep quite aggressively and the browser will put tabs to sleep as well; even if you tell the OS to allow background use, tabs always end up being put to sleep. That's why the webhooks were implemented: so you can have a computer at home running and sending the webhooks, so you can then be notified via discord.
