sɣur Doris, 8 år sidanGreat little tool! I tried other add-ons, but this works best for me. Thank you! I like the little delay before the counter display autohides as I sometimes need to refer to it. I would love this more if it would have options for:
1- directly displaying the count in the context menu (so just quick look in one click);
2- display character count only, word only, or both (for extensive use, immediately seeing just what you need helps);
3- keyboard shortcut (although I did a little keyboard macro for myself so I only need to press one key).

1- I am not sure if the APIs allow that(I will try the same :) )
2- yes that will be a plus(I will implement addon preferences for that)

Today I suddenly realized that this Add-in does not count anything. Compared to the word app, it always has mistakes. As a writer, my job depends on counting words. So this add-in created lots of problems for me today.

Does not matter what page I am on or how much text I highlight; when I right click, Word Count appears, I click on it, and nothing at all happens.
