Was looking for a way to disable this crap by default on brave search till I asked using the "ask ai" button.
The setting for that gets cleared when I close my browser along with a ton of other data and it defaults always on (meaning I had to reset the option every time I closed the browser).
So, I got this and set it on my bar at the top. Now, when I wanna search and ask AI right away I click the icon in the top of my browser, then change the addon settings from "always allow" to "on click" only to revert the change back after I am finished. Plus, if I wanna ask after I search I can just click the ask button and it works even with the addon running.
It does the job I wanted perfectly, that is worth it at least 4 stars, but the fact that its easy to use warranted 5 imo.

한 달 전에 게시됨There is no other way to disable AI Overviews on Google Search, because it is embedded in the page results. If we just hid it the AI resources would still be spent. That's why we redirect to the Web tab. You can disallow the addon from running in Private windows if you still want the ability to use some of the other features, but AI will still run then.
