This is one of my all time favourite addons, so it was with horror and dismay, after it having worked without a hitch since the day I installed it, I awoke one day to a totally blank OneTab page staring back at me with terse and cold indifference. The "OMFG, no, no, no, no, NO, this can't be happening!!" factor was real!!
But! Having regularly taken advantage of the backup option, I was somewhat hopeful I could fix things and lose only a couple of days worth of new tabs. Unfortunately though, no amount of disabling/re-enabling or uninstalling/re-installing could bring back the last tabbed days of my online life. Then, having nothing to lose, I decided to revert to an older version as suggested by a user further down the comment line:
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/downloads/file/3359470/onetab-1.29-an+fx.xpi
Oh blessed be!! It's back! It's all back! I could hardly believe it! Whew! Cheers of joy, high fiving myself (and the cat) and a couple of woop woops broke the tense and mournful atmosphere and I was back in business, baby! :) (Shout out to Keegan Witt for the link to the old version. Thank you, my friend! Thank you!)
So... Despite the heart attack-inducing shock of potentially having lost all that was dear to me (tab-wise anyway) I am giving this addon 4 stars. When it works, it works like a dream, so I won't punish the team who made this otherwise brilliant addon by giving a lower score, because do you know what? Sometimes, shit happens. Yup, sometimes it just happens, even to the best of us. The fatal errors in the new version are most certainly not done intentionally and I feel a great deal of compassion and empathy for the poor developer/s who are maybe having a minor heart attack of their own, sleepless nights and they're probably (hopefully) working feverishly in a panicked sweat to fix whatever went wrong and get things back on track. I just can't bring myself to jump on any "cancel culture" bandwagon and diss or abandon this addon after all it has done for me, and besides, I am hopeful there'll be fix soon.
So, to keep this review short, (Yikes! Too late!) I still request a donate button somewhere on the OneTab page and I will be thankful and grateful and happy for having this FREE addon available to me. When it works, it's a little piece of heaven.
So as I said, 4 stars it is, and now I'll be off. I have some more tab-hoarding to do....
Rant over.
Edit (a couple of days later): I'm upgrading my rating to five stars. Turns out all the blame for the temporary malfunctioning of the addon lies with Mozilla and not the OneTab addon. Installed the latest fix and everything's back in perfect working order.

5년 전에 게시됨Hi, sorry about this. We've been working with Mozilla all morning to resolve this. Mozilla have confirmed it was due to a bug in Firefox (related to extension permissions downgrades).
To fix OneTab, just go to “about:addons” in your Firefox address bar, click the ‘cog’ icon in the top right, and click ‘Check for updates’. This will upgrade you to OneTab v1.39, which fixes the issue.

- I'm going to go out on a limb and assume this extension must have pre-dated the firefox group feature, because it's essentially an extension that does something firefox already has built in.
You simply select one or more tabs, right click, "add to group", have several groups if you so please, then when you want to leave the group/s of tabs to return to later, just right click and select "save and close group", and voilà. You can find you saved groups in the tab drop-down, NOT the bookmarks drop-down. Don't know if its universally displayed as such across devices but on my linux desktop it is the drop-down at the top right, 4th button from the right edge. Looky like-an upside-down ^ - i honestly dont know where that symbol is on the keyboard lmao.
In my opinion, when features are added that defeats the purpose of an extension, or a large chunk of an entire category of extensions, the developers should remove their extensions to help clean up the extensions hub, reduce confusion amongst the easily-confused, and realise they ought to stop beating a dead horse, el chapo.
But thats just my two cents, and after all, what do i know, aside from everything? - 5점 만점에 4점HeyDudeMann 님, 7일 전It's great for saving storage but it keeps closing some apps that I need and after I tried uninstalling it to fix that, the tab for the extension wouldn't go away

7일 전에 게시됨Hi, I think this might be simply that it's not obvious that closing a pinned tab in Firefox requires you to right-click on it and choose "Close", since pinned tabs don't have an X icon? - 5점 만점에 1점Firefox 사용자 19698289 님, 9일 전

8일 전에 게시됨In the new version of OneTab coming in a couple of weeks, it'll open them in an "unloaded" state, so won't overload your browser.- 5점 만점에 5점Christopher 님, 한 달 전Started using this extension in Chrome years ago - it quickly became my most used/recommended extension. So much that it's availability was a requirement for my transition to Firefox as my primary browser. This is one of 3 extensions that I won't be without! Eagerly awaiting the Firefox release of the new UI!

Great work! - 5점 만점에 5점Firefox 사용자 18833463 님, 한 달 전ETA on new UI? Beta test?
EDIT: Awesome, thanks for the update and quick response!개발자 답글
한 달 전에 게시됨The only reason there is no beta for Firefox is that it's not possible to release a version to a small percentage of users in the Add-Ons directory. We are very close to a Firefox release, almost certainly before the end of the month. - 5점 만점에 4점Firefox 사용자 19663683 님, 한 달 전I would love the Option to decide how the exported URLs are named. Right now it is "link" | "name of the video" I'd like the option to remove the name completely´and have only the links OR/AND to have the option to add certain namings to all of them (e.g. something like from JDownloader2 with "name of the Video " which means at the end there would always be the Username of the link. Otherwise just a wonderful Extension! Great Work!
- I'm writing this on my phone while I wait for the extension to restore all the tabs in my PC (so that I can delete the extension).
I expected it to be bad but I decided to give it a try since it was a recommended extension. I certainly didn't expect it to hog all my RAM and make my system unusable개발자 답글
2달 전에 게시됨Hi, I'm guessing you tried to restore hundreds or even thousands of tabs all at once. In the upcoming version (v2.4+, coming in the next few weeks) there is new option to restore tabs in an "unloaded" state, so that Firefox does not try to load each web page. For others that are confused: it's not OneTab that is hogging all of your RAM, it's the huge number of pages you decided to restore all at once that is causing this issue. - 5점 만점에 1점Firefox 사용자 14188979 님, 2달 전I eventually got it to collect all open tabs into one but it did not allow to restore them again. Cleared all, restarted pc and the same thing. Seems it does not work that well

2달 전에 게시됨Hi, this is strange - please contact us at one-tab.com/feedback so we can help diagnose the issue. There must be some kind of edge case happening here, because the ability to click on tabs in OneTab to restore them is such core functionality that it's very strange that it isn't working for you. - 5점 만점에 4점Secure Fox 님, 2달 전Good. But, when storing an ever increasing list of tabs, it hogs resources and bogs down FF. Disabling or exporting the list is the only solution. When you click the OneTab icon it sends ALL tabs to OneTab. No one wants that. Remove this feature immediately. WTF
- 5점 만점에 1점nothingforyou 님, 2달 전why does this extension constantly duplicate itself? without fail it will show up as two of itself running in the task bar, one of them will work and one will not. It can only be fixed by uninstalling the addon. This has happened easily 6+ times, this is reoccurring and repeatable.
- 5점 만점에 1점Firefox 사용자 14202319 님, 2달 전Why do all the links I've saved always disappear suddenly and randomly?
- 5점 만점에 4점BrainOnEggs 님, 2달 전"Gee, I wonder what all this commotion for the UI in chrome version of this extension is about... Well, I might as well go check it out on one of my old chromium browsers..."
"Oh."
In all seriousness, I'm a tab hoarder. A rather chronic one at that, so when I discovered OneTab years ago, I never looked back. Love the extension.
I've had minor gripes in the past, namely with the UI(though this gripe is sure to be a thing of the past with the next update) and how importing and exporting is only a clipboard thing, rather than the ability to download a file, but those gripes were ultimately, just minor gripes. Nothing for me to fuss over in any real capacity, barring maybe one issue that I've only just encountered a few days ago. (Said issue seems to be fixed in the new update, so it's a moot problem.)
Frankly, the only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because I now know the new UI, which is on its way, so I'll probably up the star count when it does arrive.
Until then, this extension is near perfect, and a must have if you hoard tabs. Even with the old UI. - 5점 만점에 5점Firefox 사용자 13745328 님, 2달 전
