最新バージョン 1.45.0にバグあり
バージョン 1.44.4からバージョン 1.45.0にアップデートしたところYahoo!JAPANの広告が一部復活し、MyFilterに何度追加してもブロックできなくなったため、削除してバージョン 1.44.4に戻して使用中。問題なく機能しています。このアドオンの自動更新の停止を推奨。バージョン1.45.0の次のバージョンに期待。

Used to be great but degraded to useless. When I began to use it years ago it worked and actually blocked elements. Now, I block an element, but it comes back. I re-block it, and it comes back. I reload the page, and it is gone... until I re-visit the page by normal browsing, and the element appears again. And I am specifically not talking about elements with randomly-generated name/ID tags! I am talking about the exact same element with the same ID.
This addon has become infuriating: it does not block that which I want blocked but it blocks that I want to not be blocked. It is an unmanageable mess now. I have to turn it off completely on Monster, LinkedIn, and a growing list of sites because it completely breaks them, without any blocking set up for them.
This and the lack of wilcards! Wildcards in Javascript DOM regex CSS whatever format that require programming language skills do not cut it! We are not programmers - we are ordinary people bombarded with deluge of spam ads. We want these ads gone, with reasonable effort. If we are required to write CSS regex to get rid of an annoyance then why do you develop this software???

I've been using this a long time and it worked great....well maybe. Maybe it was causing my issues I had with FF. But one thing that continued to get worse, it won't let you turn it off. Not without a battle. You turn it off and it will turn itself back on. When it first started it would only take like twice to get it off, but now it took a good 10-15 tries to get it to stay off. I'm about to say goodbye this add-on.

uBlock Origin works, but when I watch videos on YouTube they keep loading, I deactivate the blocker and the videos are seen again, I only have this inconvenience with Mozilla, since with the other browsers such as Opera, Brave and Chrome it works correctly.
I hope they can solve it soon, greetings.

It is strange i hide video on You-tube, yet this ext. blocks me from telling me why? i wanna tell them cause they keep repeating Video in list. TY

After the newest update (15 june 22) Ublock doesn't work on all sites, it was working before plus in some movies I see now ads (not yt) looks like is an firefox own problem the same settings with ublock origin on opera works perfect. i am thinking its time to change the browser!

Excellent extension, but problems with GMail, started late Feb/22.

The mobile version is basically useless. All settings for blocking google, facebook, website video's, popups, tracking, etc., DISAPPEAR (as in gone) next time I start the Firefox mobile browser.

Now the customized settings disappear on the desktop version as well. The developer update has ruined this app.

Increasingly ineffective, especially in terms of blocking Google ads.

2-5-25: hasn't iimproved still slow to load. same as last review
8-31-24: degraded one start. TOO SLOW. Doesn't work with some pages. SLOW to load, slow to capture, just plain SLOW. Takes forever to delete segmented ads you wind up spending all your time blocking each segment. Have recently had to reinstall never had to do that before. No way to easily report pages that don't work.
7-29-24: cannot deal with pages such as gab.com that keep changing the address of the same add. You have to keep blocking it over and over again and editing the script does no good. Too slow to load sometimes cannot load it.Sometimes too hard to select the portion you want deleted. It's still good but not as good as it used to be.


10-20-23: getting slower to load or won't load or won't show gui to delete ads. can't capture some site's ads. no way to delete all the little social widgets at the same time. just getting TOO damn slow
3-17-23: Still the best addon on the net. But always room for improvement. Slow to respond often. Doesn't work on little social media widgets because you spend more time blocking each one than it's worth: fb,and others. No way to easily report pages where it does not work. Slow to mark offending jpgs and slow to load and block them. Still a very good addon, indispensable.
12-17-22: So far I see no way to block these little social media widgits which you have to delete one by one and this takes forever. Many sites incorporate their garbage into the main page and it's difficult if not impossible to get rid of it. In short it works like 95% of the time and for 5% you have to put up with website garbage. No easy way within the program to report sites and bugs.
7-20-22: no easy way to report pages that block it's use. Some pages it will not work. Often slow to bring up the block window.
9-16-21: Still great. On some sites when you try to use the eyedropper, the popup for the script to delete the ad does not appear or appears and then immediately disappears or does not appear at all. Making it difficult to select the script that needs to be blocked. Still a great addon though.

If you don't have ublock origin, you should get it. Best add on on the market. Extremely useful in eliminating the garbage idiot admined websites throw your way. Has a learning curve but not bad. Kudos to the developer for this program, wish they'd design a web browser too. Great.
