Or, what happens when the extension page for ublock origin suddenly disappears one day with no backups? Mozilla isn't going to rush to fix it because they're a web advertising company themselves now. That CEO worked hard for her 7.4 million in 2022, making sure they design more and more ads for the internet that will track where you are, and send results via telemetry.. But they don't use your real name so it's okay, it's totally private 🤫

Yes, exactly — the main purpose of my skinned version (CBlock Origin, aka China's uBlock Origin) is to help my compatriots in China, where the original uBo (and many other blockers like ABP) have been blocked on AMO (see this article for more details: https://zhuanlan.zhihu.com/p/485321226 — in Chinese but auto-translate should handle it fine). On top of that, GitHub.com is often blocked by China's Great Firewall, making manual .xpi installs unrealistic for most people. And for Chrome users in China, accessing the Chrome Web Store is basically impossible since google.com services are banned entirely.
So I did what I could: forked and re-skinned uBo to bypass those blocks and make it accessible again for folks who need it badly.
That said, thank u again for your support! 🙏 But since you're using English and likely don't have Big Brother in your country, I actually recommend sticking with the official upstream uBlock Origin whenever possible — my version always lags a bit behind because of AMO review delays. The original is more up-to-date and gets the latest fixes/filters faster.
