Chauffeur for Firefox does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to the developer or any third party.

The extension reads your open Firefox windows and tabs (URLs, titles, tab order) only to send them to the Chauffeur desktop application running locally on your own computer (127.0.0.1 / localhost). This data never leaves your device through this extension. There is no telemetry, no cloud sync, no analytics, and no advertising.

A local extension instance ID and the discovered local port of the Chauffeur app are stored in the browser's local storage solely to communicate with the app.
