- Adds extremely useful functionality to browser navigation. I second the other review stating it would be ideal to be able to set the shortcut. Although it's sort of a bonus feature to able to override a Firefox shortcut with ctrl-d, overidding the standard redo shortcut ctrl-y is a hindrance.
What I would also like is an option to not highlight the text by default, instead placing the cursor at the end or beginning (I'm most often appending/modifying search queries). - 5점 만점에 5점Firefox 사용자 13152535 님, 5년 전Works as intended. Thanks for this add-on! Any chance you could make it work on the default new-tab page as well?
- 5점 만점에 1점Richard_Odin_Johnson 님, 7년 전Very useful add-on--but it hijacks Fx's Ctrl+D shortcut for a purpose that does not seem necessary at all. (Fx uses Ctrl+D to create bookmarks, while this extension's use of Ctrl+Y and Ctrl+Shift+Y seems more than adequate.) I'm hoping the author will after reading this review remove or make optional the Ctrl+D shortcut and reply here, as I can't find any way to reach him directly. If so, I'll happily reconsider my rating.
UPDATE. I've read the developer's response, which seems to say that I should take the time for more complicated operations--and this is not something that I (or most folks) would want. It does not give a reason that I can comprehend for hijacking Ctrl+D--nor does it provide a way to reach the developer directly. Accordingly, I'm using instead of this add-on the Fox Input addon, which serves the same purpose without any comparable difficulty, and I'm downgrading my rating.개발자 답글
7년 전에 게시됨Hi Richard, I'm happy to hear that people are interested in that feature. The reason I originally wanted to block Ctrl+D was because, back then, Firefox would bookmark the page immediately when Ctrl+D was pressed, and it was very annoying, so I was happy to block it.
If you don't want new Bookmarks to be just dumped, but rather placed where they belong, I advise using Ctrl+B, then drag&drop the tab directly where the bookmark belongs. Still, I'm definitely willing to offer the user the choice of what shortcut to use. I just didn't find a nice implementation that I could reuse.
Yet, this add-on, as-is, is pretty simple, it's just a user script, so it won't detect keys when the page is not selected. Therefore, as a workaround, you could press Ctrl+L or F6 to unselect the page, then hit Ctrl+D.
About my reachability, I guess I'll just publish the add-on on Github and direct people to its issue system.
